I suffer a lot from kidney infections as I have issues with my bladder. Back in August 2016 I had spent a lot of time in and out of hospital because my bladder was making me so poorly. A couple of days after being home I became unwell again. I saw an emergency doctor who gave me antibiotics because I had a kidney infection yet again.
The following days are a blur but I remember becoming more and more sick. I remember thinking to myself that the antibiotics would kick in soon and tried to continue as normal. I had plans to go over to my Grandads and spend time with my family as my cousin was coming down from Reigate with her children. I remember on the day feeling like every bone was broken and I was freezing.
I went home and from then I can’t really remember much other than I couldn’t move and I just wanted to sleep. I thought I was going to die. The following day I was rushed into A&E and I have to say despite the fact they were so busy they were so efficient and I was in a bed right away getting all the medical treatment I needed.
The weeks I spent in hospital I can’t remember much of other than a few blurs of visitors popping in. But I know that I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for my family and the nurses and doctors at Colchester General Hospital.
I can remember coming home and crying. It all was so surreal until I was home.
I honestly cannot thank my friends and family for their support.
