Sepsis Savvy Walk

Saturday 25th March and Sunday 26th March 2023

The UK Sepsis Trust is organising a national awareness walk taking place on Saturday 25th March and Sunday 26th March 2023. This exciting event will take place in multiple locations across the UK, with the aim to raise vital funds and sepsis awareness. Each walk has a set route and distances that vary between locations.

Fundraising
We are asking you to raise £50, or as much as you can, to support us in our mission to end preventable deaths from sepsis and improve outcomes for sepsis survivors.

Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham Open

Saturday 25th March

This is the headline event in our Sepsis Savvy Walks 2023. This walk will be taking place at Sutton Park and will be approximately 5.8 miles.

Meeting point
This walk will start and finish at the Visitor Centre (B74 2YT), near Town Gate. The walk will start at 11:00am and all participants should aim to be there at 10:30am.

Travel information
There is plenty of car parking at the Town Gate entrance in Sutton Park. There are several car parks near to the Visitor Centre and also plenty of on road parking near this entrance. Sutton Coldfield Railway Station is also located just 0.5-miles away.

Please arrive in good time to avoid queues. Please consider the most sustainable method of transport, or car share where possible.

There are toilets at the Visitor Centre, as well as on route at The Bracebridge.

Join us in Cornwall for one of our Sepsis Savvy Walks 2023. This walk will be taking place at Trelissick Park and will be approximately 4.9 miles.

Meeting point
This walk will start in the car park by the cattle grid gates. The walk will start at 11:00am and all participants should aim to be there at 10:30am.

Travel information
The closest car park will be onsite at Trelissick Park, the cost is £5 for the day and to find the car park, please enter postcode TR3 6QL.

Please arrive in good time to avoid queues. Please consider the most sustainable method of transport, or car share where possible.

There are toilets opposite the visitor reception.

There is no parking fee on the day of the event, when you arrive in the main Trelissick car park, the designated parking area will be on the right, look for the Sepsis Trust information point.

Please can any National Trust members scan their membership card in one of the car park machines on the day as this is how they receive funding for the conservation work in the countryside.

This walk starts outside the Mute Swan, 3, Palace Gate, Hampton Ct Rd, Molesey, East Molesey KT8 9BN. The walk will start at 11:30am and all participants should aim to be there at 11:00am.

Travel information
Hampton Court train station is located a five-minute walk from the palace. National Rail train services run from London Waterloo every 30 minutes, calling at Vauxhall, Clapham Junction, Earlsfield, Wimbledon, Raynes Park, New Maldon, Berrylands, Surbiton, Thames Ditton and Hampton Court.

Car Parks
Hampton Court Green is located 500m from the entrance of the palace and is charged at £1.50 per hour.

Hampton Court Train Station (200 metres from entrance): for information about prices, please visit the National Rail website.

Bushy Park (15 minute walk): for more information, please visit the Royal Parks website.
Kingston upon Thames: multiple public car parks are located nearby in Kingston upon Thames. Options include:

This walk is approximately 3.3 miles. There will be UK Sepsis Trust Staff and Volunteers at the start point and end point of the walk.
