#GivingTuesday, a global day of giving, takes place on Tuesday November 28th, following Black Friday and Cyber Monday and is a chance to give something back after all that shopping! #GivingTuesday reminds everyone it’s good to give – and encourages people to come together and share the goodwill.
Whether it’s making a donation, volunteering some time or just spreading the word at the start of the Christmas shopping season, #GivingTuesday aims to encourage people, charities and businesses to donate their time, their money or their voice to help a good cause.
This year, we’re asking for your help on #GivingTuesday. Whether you make a donation, organise a fundraising event, sign up for one of our events or simply spread the word about what we do. Whatever you do, you will help us to continue our work to improve the lives and opportunities for everybody affected by sepsis.
This year we’re doing things a little different. Facebook are rolling out a new feature, which allows users to donate directly to charities through Facebook, and we have been selected in the first group of charities to have access to the feature!
The good news doesn’t stop there. Facebook will match anything you donate to us on #GivingTuesday and will be waiving any fees for donations made, so be sure to check out our social media accounts from midnight to find out how to donate.
This year we have made a special video all about the best gift people have ever received! Keep your eyes peeled for its unveiling across all of our social media channels on #GivingTuesday!
