The UK Sepsis Trust is delighted to celebrate an incredible fundraising achievement by BCT Services, whose recent golf day raised over £29,000 to help us continue raising awareness of sepsis and support those who are affected by the condition.
Held at Skylark Country Club in Fareham in July, the event brought together supporters, customers, and colleagues for a memorable day of golf, all in honour of fellow player Ron Taylor, who sadly lost his life to sepsis in 2023.
Fundraising in memory of Ron
Ron was the father of Nicola, Tracy, and Paul, who are all members of the BCT Services team. In his memory, the family and the company came together to support the UK Sepsis Trust.
Nicola Turner, Director of BCT Services, says: “With the devastating and sudden loss of our Dad three years ago to sepsis, we knew we had to do something to help raise awareness of this terrible, life-threatening condition. Our search led us to the UK Sepsis Trust. We are incredibly proud to support in raising awareness and the vital work they carry out.”
BCT Services’ outstanding fundraising total will allow the UK Sepsis Trust to continue educating the public and health professionals about the signs and symptoms of sepsis, while ensuring that more individuals and families affected by the condition can access vital information, guidance, and support.
“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone at BCT Services for their support in raising vital funds and awareness of sepsis in memory of Ron Taylor. The £29,117 raised will make a real difference in helping us educate people about sepsis, support those affected, and ultimately continue to save lives. Thank you to everyone who took part, donated, and contributed to make the event such a success”, says Iain Blackwood-Hobbs, Corporate Partnerships Coordinator at the UK Sepsis Trust.
