Why choose us
Our team of specialist solicitors is here to support you. We have long experience of how sepsis affects people and understand how damaging it can be. Over the course of many claims, we have recovered damages to help people make good some of the harm sepsis causes. Recent successes include awards of:
- £1,500,000 for a man who underwent a below knee amputation after delays by podiatrists in referring him to hospital led to him developing sepsis
- £700,000 for a man who lost part of his hand after delays in diagnosing his sepsis in the Emergency Department
- Over £400,000 for a disabled man who underwent a below knee amputation after failures to control an infected ulcer led to sepsis
- £370,000 for the family of a woman who died after being wrongly discharged from hospital despite having sepsis
We have a track record of helping sepsis survivors and their families. Each claim and circumstance is unique. With our experience, we can ask the right questions, listen to your concerns and do our best to meet your specific needs.
As well as compensation and sometimes an apology, we help people get the best results for their future.
We are proud to work with UK Sepsis Trust and have done so since shortly after the charity was founded. Apart from acting for people bringing claims, we support the Trust in raising awareness and fundraising, to improve patient safety.

What an absolute pleasure to be a client of this law firm. Their partner, Paul Sankey, and his team worked tirelessly for a positive outcome to a medical damages case on our behalf when my husband sustained an amputation to his leg. It was a complex case that required a lot of research and opinions from experts in order to proceed with a watertight claim. This took patience and much meticulous work by Paul and his team. Always courteous, transparent and professional in all respects of the case, Mr Sankey was a true advocate for my husband. This made all the difference when the case was finally settled recently and means that my husband can truly look forward to a better future. - Trish, wife of client
