Volunteering

Volunteers are the heart and soul of UKST, serving as our voices within communities. They are crucial to our mission of raising sepsis awareness and preventing unnecessary deaths and life-altering injuries from this condition. We have a range of different volunteer roles that can be adapted to suit your individual needs and interest areas, ranging from speaker volunteers, community champions to providing fundraising event support. Follow the link below to learn how to sign up.

Partnerships

We work with a range of organisations of all shapes and sizes to raise awareness of sepsis. From working with other charities to support people with co-existing health conditions, to providing lunch & learn ‘Sepsis Savvy’ sessions to our corporate partners, there are lots of ways that we harness the power of collaboration to enact lasting change. Click to explore what we could achieve together.

Corporate partnerships

We work across different industries to educate workforces about sepsis, equipping them and their loved ones with potentially life-saving information.

Our partner organisations include Iceland Foods, PwC, Proskauer and Aviva.

Charity collaboration

We believe that charity collaboration is key to reaching groups that are even more at-risk of sepsis.

Organisations we’ve collaborated with include Kidney Care UK, Marie Curie, Spinal Cord Injuries Association, the Aplastic Anaemia Trust and more.

Other organisations

As well as working with the corporate sector to raise awareness of this killer condition, we work with schools, universities and local community groups.

There’s no organisation too small for us, so if you’d like to discuss a partnership please reach out today: partnership@sepsistrust.org

Donate

We’re the UK’s only charity providing free-at-point-of-access support to people affected by sepsis. £25 pays for a one-hour conversation with a Support Nurse, which could be all someone needs in a moment of crisis. Please help us to continue to provide these vital services in the future – we receive no government funding so are reliant on our incredible supporters.

Get Sepsis Savvy – and spread the word

Our key campaigns include our ‘Sepsis Savvy’ programme, a suite of free resources that equip the public with life-saving knowledge. We’d urge you to take a few moments to familiarise yourself with the materials and then share these resources with your friends on social media, encourage your employer to sign up as a Sepsis Savvy partner, and even write to your child’s school to tell them about our free PSHE-accredited lesson plans. Together we can ensure that everyone knows that sepsis is a medical emergency!

How it helps

We’re so grateful to all of our fundraisers, corporate supporters, individual donors, volunteers, and people who take the time to share life-saving information about sepsis on social media. Collectively, we are able to enact real, lasting change.

We understand that before you commit your time or hard-earned pennies to our cause, you might want to learn more about how donated funds are spent.
