More about this role
What you’ll do
For every event, we’ll advertise the specific roles we need so you can sign up for the one that best suits you. Examples include:
- Meet & greet volunteers. Welcome attendees, answer simple questions, and help direct people so they feel at ease.
- Cheer station volunteers. Bring energy and enthusiasm to motivate participants.
- Bucket collection volunteers. Help raise vital funds and awareness through cash or contactless donations.
- Light event support volunteers. Hand out materials, tidy tables, or assist with simple tasks – always matched to your comfort and abilities.
How it works
- Browse upcoming events and see what roles are available.
- Sign up for the role that interests you – there’s no pressure to do more than you want.
- Receive a clear briefing and support ahead of the day.
When you sign up, you’ll know:
- The exact role you’re taking on.
- The time commitment expected.
- Any briefing or guidance you’ll receive in advance.
This way, you’ll never be assigned to something you didn’t sign up for.
What we provide
- Clear instructions ahead of each event.
- On-the-day support from a UKST staff member.
- Optional UKST badge or t-shirt so you feel part of the team.
- Reimbursement of pre-agreed travel expenses and refreshments where appropriate.
- A welcoming team environment where your time and effort are valued.
The difference you’ll make
At UKST, we are dedicated to saving lives and improving outcomes for sepsis survivors. But we can’t do it alone: we need your help to raise vital funds and awareness.
Every role, big or small, helps events run smoothly and ensures more people learn life-saving information about sepsis. By volunteering, you’ll help raise awareness, support fundraisers, and make every event a success.
