How you’re helping: Melanie’s story
In December 2024, Melanie was rushed to hospital with strep throat and sepsis. Amazingly, and despite a stint in ICU, Melanie survived, but found her recovery to be slow, confusing, and worrying. That’s when she turned to UKST’s Support & Connect groups.
“They helped me navigate my new normal, how to source the right type of therapy, how to handle work conversations, and eventually a return to work. I can’t thank the UK Sepsis Trust enough – I even did a 5k fundraiser last year! Forever grateful.”
