On Sunday 25th March, many of our incredible supporters joined us at stunning West Wycombe Park for our Sepsis Savvy Walk 2025, raising awareness and vital funds to help combat sepsis. The event was a powerful reminder of the strength of our community and the urgent need to spread life-saving knowledge about sepsis.
A huge thank you to Sir Edward and Lady Dashwood, whose generosity in allowing us to use their beautiful grounds made this special day possible. Walkers of all ages came together to show their support, and we heard from UKST’s CEO Sarah Hamilton-Fairley and Founder & Chief Medical Officer Dr Ron Daniels, Sir Edward, and the inspirational Austin Hunter, a 13-year-old bilateral amputee sepsis survivor. You can watch Austin tell his story in the video below.
Sarah said: “The atmosphere was one of hope, determination and courage. We couldn’t do this without you all so we sincerely thank everyone who joined us, donated, and contributed – your involvement helps us raise awareness and continue our life-saving work.”
If you’d like to support the UK Sepsis Trust – whether through volunteering, fundraising, introducing us to potential partners, or delivering awareness sessions in your community – we’d love to hear from you! Please get in touch at savvy@sepsistrust.org and start spreading the word. That’s the only way to save lives that are often, needlessly, being lost.
