LIFE AFTER SEPSIS: MANAGING
FATIGUE during RECOVERY
Post-sepsis fatigue can be exhausting and overwhelming. This session aims to provide you with information and practical tools to help you navigate recovery.
Fatigue is one of the most common things people experience following sepsis, but it can be difficult to describe. It’s different to the everyday tiredness that we all experience at times – it’s complete physical and mental exhaustion that’s not relieved by sleep or rest periods.
For some, fatigue can continue for months or even years, making recovery much more challenging. If this is something you’re experience, you’re not alone.
This session is designed for anyone who is experiencing fatigue following sepsis, and for those who may be supporting a loved one on their journey.
Hosted by UKST’s Lead Support Nurse, Oliver, this session will cover:
- What fatigue is
- Why some people experience fatigue post sepsis
- Strategies to consider
