“The shock of a family member dying so quickly after a family holiday is painful to hear but it is a reminder just how quickly sepsis can have it’s terrible effects and how important it is for action to rapidly be taken. I am grateful for the care we received from the health staff but have successfully lobbied for the hospital to change their policy to invite close relatives to be with their dying relative when it is probable that they could die.”
Glenn Miles, Siobhan’s husband.
