We are reliant on the generosity of our amazing supporters to help our vital work continue.
Help us to help more people like Taz
Not only was Taz’s life saved by a 111 operator who knew our award-winning campaign slogan, ‘Just Ask: Could it be Sepsis?’, but she has been able to benefit from our support services as she embarked on her quest to return to professional dance.
She found our support resources helpful in explaining to friends and family what her body had been through, while also personally benefitting from 1:1 conversations with our Support Nurses, and the online sepsis Support & Connect groups.
An hour of a Support Nurse’s time costs £25, so by making a one-off donation or setting up a monthly gift you could help us develop more resources to help people like Taz, providing that moment of connection and support when they really need it.

Donation FAQs
How can I make a donation?
Thank you so much for choosing to donate to UK Sepsis Trust – your support will truly make a difference. Please use the donation options above to kindly donate online or contact us via fundraising@sepsistrust.org to find out how to make a bank transfer or send us a cheque through the post.
What is Gift Aid and how does it work?
Gift Aid is a government scheme which lets us claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give, or if you’re donating an item, an extra 25% on top of the price it sells for in our shops.
It does not cost you anything extra to sign up to Gift Aid. This is because as a UK taxpayer you have already paid tax on the money you’re donating – whether that is directly in cash or indirectly through the purchase price of the items you donate.
Once we receive your donation, we get the tax you originally paid back from HMRC to top up the donation.
Who can Gift Aid?
You can Gift Aid if:
- you’re a UK taxpayer
- the money you’re donating belong to you
- the tax you pay that year is at least equal to all your donations to any charity.
How do I sign up to Gift Aid?
Here are 3 ways to sign up to Gift Aid:
- Online – complete our online Gift Aid form and tick the box that says ‘Yes’ to Gift Aid.
- Post – download and fill in the My Gift Aid declaration form and post it to: The UK Sepsis Trust Azzurri House, Walsall Business Park, Walsall Road, Aldridge, WALSALL
- Phone – phone the Fundraising Team on 0800 389 6255. Lines are open Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
Can you benefit from Gift Aid if I'm retired?
You can Gift Aid donations if you pay income tax or capital gains tax, as long as you’ve paid enough tax during the year to cover the amount we are reclaiming on your donations.
If you live on your pension alone and do not pay tax, you will not be eligible.
What if I'm a higher rate taxpayer?
If you pay a higher rate of tax (40% or above), you can claim the difference between the higher and basic rate on the total value of your donation.
How does Gift Aid help UKST?
The Gift Aid scheme helps raise even more money for our life-saving work.
In 2022/23, the amount we made from Gift Aid on donations was £186K. Imagine how much higher those numbers could be if everyone who is eligible signed up!
If someone donated £400 to us, we could claim an extra £100 in Gift Aid.
That extra £100 would pay for one of the following:
- 10 recovery diaries for 10 sepsis survivors
- Nurse-led support for one person through their sepsis experience
