Bring some Christmas cheer to your school, workplace, community group, pub, or family gathering by hosting your own Christmas Jumper Day on Thursday 10th December 2026 – or choose a date that works best for your group.
Wherever you celebrate, wear your most festive jumper – be it ugly, bright, or fun – encourage everyone to donate, and raise vital funds to help us save lives from sepsis this festive season.
How to host your Christmas Jumper Day
You can host your Xmas Jumper Day in just a few easy steps:
1. Sign up and create JustGiving page
Encourage everyone taking part to donate and share your fundraising page.
2. Set a fundraising target
There’s no minimum target, but we suggest £105, which can support someone through their sepsis recovery journey.
3. Get your jumpers on
Join us on Thursday 10th December or choose a date that works for you.
4. Pay in your fundraising
Your fundraising will help support UKST’s life-saving work, from sepsis awareness to support for survivors.
Christmas Jumper Day Ideas
There’s no one way to host a Christmas Jumper Day! Here are just a few ideas to get you started:
- Offer a prize for the best (or most outrageous) Xmas jumper – whether that’s individually or as a team.
- Host festive games, quizzes, or a bake sale.
- Work together towards a team fundraising target and see how much you can raise.
Why your support matters
Sepsis affects 245,000 people each year in the UK, claiming 48,000 lives. The UK Sepsis Trust is dedicated to ending preventable deaths from sepsis and supporting those who have been affected through free, Nurse-led support.
By holding a Christmas Jumper Day, you’ll be helping us raise awareness, educate health professionals, and support families.

When is Christmas Jumper Day 2026?
This year, National Christmas Jumper Day is on Thursday 10th December 2026. If that date doesn’t work for your group, you can choose another date in December.
What if my workplace doesn’t allow Christmas Jumper Day?
Not a problem – we understand that Christmas jumpers might not be appropriate in some environments, like health care. Christmas colours, hats, socks, or even a bit of tinsel will do! The most important part is taking part and raising funds.
