How you’re helping: Jack’s story

Sarah’s 18-year-old son, Jack, was rushed to ICU in 2022 with sepsis. He wasn’t expected to live, and during that awful time, she turned to our Support Nurses for support.

Amazingly, Jack made a recovery and is now healthy and thriving, and Sarah still gives the team updates on Jack to this day.

I turned to Katie for advice and support and although I wasn’t up to talking on the phone I was overwhelmed with the kindness and words I received during that awful time.

“I still give [her] updates on how Jack is doing today because I won’t forget who was there for me when I needed them the most.”
