How to set up Payroll Giving 

Setting up Payroll Giving is straightforward and cost-effective: 

  1. Register with a Payroll Giving Agency: This agency will handle the distribution of your employees’ charitable donations to their chosen charities. 
  2. Promote the scheme: Encourage staff participation by arranging a visit from a Professional Fundraising Organisation (PFO) or through internal communications. 
  3. Deduct donations: Use your existing payroll software to deduct employees’ donations from their salary. 
  4. Report to the agency: Provide the agency with details of your employees’ names and donation amounts each pay run (usually monthly). 
  5. Support UKST: Your employees’ donations will be sent to the UK Sepsis Trust and any other nominated charities via the agency.

Matched funding: Amplify your company’s impact

Want to add even more value to your employee benefits and CSR programme? Consider matched funding. By matching your employees’ donations whether on a single-, double-, or even triple-match basis you can significantly increase the support UKST receives. This can be done for a set period to kick-start your scheme or on a permanent basis.
