My name is Josh and I am a Volunteer with The UK’s Sepsis Trust. I first became interested in Sepsis when I started working in the NHS in February 2018, as a Nursing Assistant at Weston Area Health NHS Trust. I then went on to become the Sepsis Ambassador & Champion alongside the Lead Nurse for Sepsis & Deterioration of patients in Weston General Hospital. I became aware of The UK Sepsis Trust and the fantastic work they do. Volunteering with the Trust is one of the best things I have done! I have achieved and learnt so much and I have had the most amazing opportunities and worked alongside lots of inspiring people in the charity, which makes it a delight to be part of the team.

My most recent work has been providing teaching sessions at my local college for Health and Social Care Students on Sepsis and in June 2022, I will be taking up the Great North Swim in aid of The UK’s Sepsis Trust! I am very proud to be a volunteer for The UK’s Sepsis Trust and I am very much looking forward to continuing in my role, promoting sepsis, meeting new people and making everyone aware through our latest campaign ‘Sepsis Savvy’!
