Fundraise for us
Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that affects 245,000 people in the UK every year. At the UK Sepsis Trust, we are dedicated to saving lives and improving outcomes for sepsis survivors. But we can’t do it alone. We need your help to raise vital funds and awareness. Whether you’re an individual looking to make a difference or a business wanting to support our critical cause, there are many ways to get involved.
Host your own fundraiser
Unleash your creativity and host your own fundraising event! Whether it’s a bake sale, a car wash, a community fun run, or a charity concert, your efforts can make a huge impact. By organising a local event, you can bring your community together to support the fight against sepsis.
Ideas to get you started:
- Bake sales: Delicious treats for a good cause.
- Charity walks/runs: Gather friends and family for a healthy and meaningful activity.
- Jumble or garage sales: Turn unused items into donations.
- Craft fairs: Showcase handmade items and donate the proceeds.
- Christmas fundraising ideas: Check out our handy A-Z to get started with festive fundraising.
Set up a fundraising page
One of the easiest and most effective ways of fundraising is online. Create your page on JustGiving, fill out your bio, share across social media, then sit back and watch the donations flood in. Be sure to tag us in your posts and we’ll do our best to like, share, and repost. There are plenty of tips and ideas on how to maximise your fundraising here.
You can also create a legacy fundraising page for a loved one through our ‘Always Remember’ campaign, which is a great way to keep their memory alive.
Register for an active challenge
Looking for a challenge? Sign up to take part in our fundraising events and raise vital funds for the UK Sepsis Trust. From skydiving to marathons, there’s an event for everyone. Challenge yourself and inspire others to contribute to our mission.
Popular events:
- Marathons and half marathons: Run for a cause in major city marathons, including London Landmarks, the Cardiff Half and the Great North Run.
- Skydives: Experience the thrill of a lifetime while supporting our work.

Corporate fundraising
Businesses play a crucial role in our fundraising efforts. Corporate fundraising not only boosts team morale but also demonstrates your company’s commitment to social responsibility. There are several ways your business can get involved:
- Bulk booking events: Register your team for marathons, walks, and other fundraising events – to make a bulk booking email our team: fundraising@sepsistrust.org
- Sponsored challenges: Encourage employees to take on fundraising challenges, including Step Up To Sepsis
- Matched Funding: Double the impact of your employees’ efforts. With matched funding, your company can match the amount raised by employees, making their contributions go even further.
- Payroll Giving: Payroll giving or ‘give as you earn’ is an easy and tax-effective way for employees to donate. Regular, pre-tax donations directly from payroll can provide consistent support to the UK Sepsis Trust.
